Sounds like you're either flying in rate mode and not tail lock and you could possible need to adjust your travel and gain settings again. We ran out of channels and switches and in the end had to let the gyro go into rate mode while he is in throttle hold, was the only way we could keep it tail lock on both normal and idle up flight modes. I don't know the 490 all too well but I did help a friend of mine whois a fungy on the 490 help another guy setup one with a 2610, it wasn't the easiest thing to do on 2610 with the gyro using remote gain setup. The manual of the 490 as far as I know is pretty clear in explaining the proper setup procedure? Did you follow it step by step right from start to finish? Of couse essentially I think you just have a setup problem. Tail rotor blades will also play a part, quality and performance go hand in hand. What is a "Park" rudder servo? A decent tail rotor servo on any heli is a must if you want a solid tail, this could partially cause the problem.
